Position: PLANNER V (SR-24)
About: The County of Maui in Maui County, Hawaii, has immediate vacancies in the Department of Planning and Department of Transportation for the position of Planner V. This role involves independently performing responsible professional planning work in the development, design, and conduct of community planning projects.
Requirements: Training and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in urban or regional planning, architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, geography, economics, sociology, public administration, or a related field; 3 1/2 years of research or analytical experience involving compilation, examination, analysis, and interpretation of data, with at least 2 years specifically related to community planning. License Requirement: Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required. Knowledge of public planning principles, research methods, statistics, and ability to conduct planning projects effectively. Health and Physical Condition standards must be met. Physical Effort Grouping: Light.
