Requirements: Responsible for ensuring the quality and timelines of prep production. Also, responsible for prepping chef’s specials and being fully knowledgeable of company specifications. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe, sanitary food-handling practices. Turn or stir foods for even cooking. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment. Observe and test foods for doneness. Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients. Portion, arrange, garnish, and serve food. Regulate oven temperatures and assist other cooks during emergencies. Prepare meats, fish, vegetables, fruits, and hors d’oeuvres. Must have interpersonal skills, work well under pressure, dexterity with knives, and be organized.
