Position: Physical Plant Maintenance Supervisor
About: This institution is looking for a Physical Plant Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance of a moderate size institution, including buildings, grounds, and physical facilities. The role may involve supervising maintenance staff, coordinating construction projects, budgeting for maintenance operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
Requirements: Education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Three years experience in operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, hand and power tools in trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, or HVAC; Three years experience in performing work in trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, or HVAC; Six months experience in interpreting safety and building codes, laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; Six months experience in estimating cost, time and materials for projects; Six months experience in interpreting blueprints, schematics or technical drawings; Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; Knowledge of planning, directing and implementing maintenance and preventative maintenance programs in trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, or HVAC; Possession of a valid Driver’s License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
