Position: PEER RECOVERY SPECIALIST CERTIFIED
About: Department: UPC Peer Support Full Time: 1.00 FTE Shift: Days Coordinate and provide services and resources to individuals/families necessary to promote rehabilitation, recovery, and resiliency. Identify and address strengths that aid in the recovery process and barriers that may impede independent functioning. Provide personalized interventions to enhance decision-making, crisis support, and skills development. Patient care may involve various age groups with emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse disorders.
Requirements: Education: High School or GED Equivalent; 1 year directly related experience; Bilingual English/Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo preferred; CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification required within 30 days; Certified Peer Specialist recognized in State of NM; Valid New Mexico Driver’s License; UNM Vehicle Operator’s Permit required within 60 days
