Position: Pastry Cook, IU Dining and Hospitality

Requirements: General knowledge at the high school level; Previous experience in a related field preferred; Food Safety (ServSafe) certification within 180 days from date of hire; Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner; Working knowledge of food preparation methods and practices; Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation and food safety practices; Ability to interpret and follow instructions; Ability to read and calculate recipe quantities; Ability to operate institutional kitchen equipment; Ability to coordinate food preparation and timing; Ability to work effectively in a team environment; Ability to maintain personal hygiene standards; Ability to review menus and determine supply needs; Ability to perform physical work under varying conditions
