Position: Pastry Assistant
About: Malai is looking to hire a Pastry Assistant to assist with ice cream production, ingredient preparation, baking and cone making. This role requires exceptional time management skills, adherence to food health and safety regulations, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen environment. Requirements: Proven experience assisting in fast-paced kitchens; NYC issued Food Handlers license, or willing to obtain one within 2 weeks of being hired; Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations; Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Ability to work in a team and positive attitude; Excellent organizational and time management skills; Effective communication skills; Must have Weekend availability; Must be 18 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US
