Position: Partnerships & Special Events Coordinator

About: The Salvation Army is seeking a Strategic Development Coordinator to join their team in Hartford, CT. This position involves creating and managing a strategic development plan to secure corporate sponsorships for Hartford-area events and overseeing the operational aspects of major fundraising events. The role requires collaborating with various stakeholders to establish partnerships and strengthen relationships within the community.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or equivalent experience; minimum three years of experience organizing special events and securing sponsorships; proven track record of raising over $250,000 through events; ability to remain adaptable under pressure; willingness to travel and work flexible hours; exceptional customer service skills with a focus on confidentiality; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design; strong organizational and time management skills; ability to work collaboratively and represent The Salvation Army professionally and positively.
