Position: Part-time Food Service Director and Head Chef
About: Pilgrim Lutheran Church, School and Childcare is seeking a Part-time Food Service Director and Head Chef to join their team. The role involves maintaining a monthly budget set by the school, creating seasonal menus, coordinating with the school calendar, and providing scratch-made meals daily in a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. The position requires cooking experience, knowledge of kitchen equipment, a Food Handler’s License, and the ability to pass a criminal background check.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; prior cooking experience preferred; knowledge of kitchen equipment including KitchenAid mixer, food processor, rice cooker, Instant Pot, gas stove/oven, griddle, and commercial can opener; possession of a current Food Handler’s License; ability to lift 50 lbs; reliable transportation; willingness to go above and beyond; multitasking and schedule management skills.
