Position: Parks Manager, Senior – West Lake Park
About: The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified candidates for Parks Manager, Senior at West Lake Park/Anne Kolb Nature Center. West Lake Park is part of a triplex of parks (Anne Kolb Nature Center, West Lake Park, and Hollywood North Beach Park) close to the Intracoastal Waterway and ocean. A variety of programs are conducted both at West Lake Park Marina and Anne Kolb Nature Center. Music, art, and environmental education programs and events are typically held for groups and the general public throughout the year. Amenities at the triplex of parks include kayak rentals, boat rentals, walking trails, boat trails, an observation tower, rental hall, Exhibit Hall, and a tour boat for groups and the general public.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in parks and recreation management, hospitality management, public administration, business administration, environmental sciences, engineering, or closely related field; One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education; Requires five (5) years in managing park operations or natural area management or closely related experience including two (2) years of supervisory experience; Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Class E Driver’s License for the duration of appointment.
