Position: Paratransit Operator

The role involves safe transportation of customers, operating vehicles with specialized equipment, and ensuring customer safety and satisfaction in various weather conditions and traffic situations. Requirements: High school education or GED preferred; valid Texas Driver’s License and good driving record required; sensitivity to the needs of the disabled; customer service orientation; ability to read and interpret information from electronic devices; knowledge of traffic laws and city streets; ability to handle emergency situations calmly; must be at least 21 years of age; good driving record required; compliance with VIA’s Drug and Alcohol policy; ability to read and write in English; knowledge of basic city layout and map reading skills.
