Position: PAINTER
About: Under the supervision of the Painter Foreman, the company prepares surfaces for painting by filling holes, scraping scale, and washing woodwork and walls. They also prepare new drywall for painting, set up ladders and scaffolding, and lay drop cloths on the floor and furniture. The company’s establishment brushes, rolls, or spray paints wood, plaster, and metal surfaces of buildings (interior and exterior), barricades, pipes, radiators, vents, fire escapes, metal partitions, etc. They mix and blend paints, clean and maintain equipment and brushes, strip and refinish office furniture and woodwork, measure and hang wall coverings, and perform other assigned duties. The company is committed to ensuring adherence to all hospital and department-specific safety requirements in a healthcare environment.
Requirements: Successful completion of an approved and recognized apprenticeship program attaining Journeyman status as a Painter (must provide proof at time of interview) OR five (5) years’ full-time work experience as a Painter is required; Successful completion of the Occupational Safety Health Act (OSHA) 30-hour course in Construction, Safety and Health is required (Must provide proof at time of interview); Successful completion of the Occupational Safety Health Act (OSHA) Compliant Aerial Work Platform Training Course is required. (Must provide proof at time of interview).
