Position: Operations Coordinator Lead – Youth Sports
About: Rockford Park District is looking for an Operations Coordinator Lead for Youth Sports to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of athletic programs for youth, teens, and families, ensuring operational excellence and fostering community partnerships. The role includes managing staff and maintaining program documentation to provide high-quality experiences for participants. Requirements: Education/Experience: Associate degree with coursework in Recreation, Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field; minimum 5 years of experience in sports-related programming. Critical Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Must be at least 21 years old; strong knowledge of program sports; experience in coordinating/scheduling athletic leagues; valid driver’s license; availability on weekdays, occasional Sundays, and on-call during summers; effective communication and customer service skills; ability to troubleshoot problems and implement safety standards; outstanding decision-making and management skills. Physical Requirements: Medium work including exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly; ability to perform physically intensive tasks.
