Position: On-Call Event Coordinator, LAist
About: Southern California Public Radio (SCPR) is seeking an On-Call Event Coordinator to support the Executive Director and the Live Programming & Events team in organizing pan-organizational events at The Crawford Family Forum (CFF) and various locations in Southern California. The role involves facilitating public engagement, fostering collaborations, and maintaining a professional atmosphere at events and in communications. This is an On-Call position with work scheduled on an as-needed basis.
Requirements: Bachelors Degree or 2+ years of experience with event coordination, theatre, and/or live performances; Experience in supporting successful public events; Significant experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); Interest in public media, events, and/or production
Benefits: Hybrid work location in Pasadena, CA, Expected compensation range: $31.00 – $37.00 per hour based on experience and education, Flexible working hours including evenings and occasional weekends, Physical demands include moving about in an office and community, data entry, setting up for events, and potentially driving SCPR vehicles, Moderate noise level and occasional exposure to prevalent weather conditions
