Position: Mortician

About: Navy Morticians play a crucial role in ensuring fallen Sailors are treated with respect and dignity. They handle all aspects of the mortuary process, from communicating with families to conducting funeral services. As military personnel, Navy Morticians safeguard the legacy of those who have served. Navy Morticians are shore-based and assigned to Navy Casualty, with the possibility of travel to various locations worldwide.

Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent; U.S. citizenship or equivalent; 17 years of age or older; graduation from an accredited mortuary school; and holding a license as a funeral director and embalmer in one of the 50 states.
