Position: Meetings & Events Manager
About: IAPD – The Performance Plastics Association represents the performance plastics industry, bringing together distributors, manufacturers, fabricators, manufacturers’ representatives, and service providers to advance the industry through education, networking, and advocacy. The association’s meetings and events play a crucial role in supporting its members and fostering engagement.
Requirements: Associate’s degree in event management, hospitality, business, or a related field; 4+ years of applied experience in meeting and event planning, preferably in an association or nonprofit setting; strong knowledge of event management software, CVENT preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence platforms; proficient in social media LinkedIn platform; excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills; strong customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; willingness to travel as needed for event execution (up to 30%)
