Position: Medical Receptionist
About: Our Hinsdale-based medical practice is seeking a full-time experienced receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact, the receptionist will greet patients warmly, handle registration, answer phones, schedule appointments, and perform various administrative duties. We are looking for someone with an outgoing and pleasant personality who enjoys working with people and can contribute as a team player in this customer service role. The ability to handle emergencies effectively, streamline office operations, multitask, and manage stress is crucial for success in this position, which may involve shift work. The primary responsibilities include welcoming patients at the front desk and ensuring all administrative tasks are carried out to the highest standards.
Requirements: Responsibilities: Greet and welcome patients, direct them to the appropriate provider, answer and forward phone calls, maintain a tidy reception area, provide accurate information, manage mail, ensure office security, and perform various clerical duties. Skills: Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a similar role, proficiency in Modmed or a similar EMR system, professional demeanor, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), resourcefulness, proactive problem-solving, excellent organizational skills, multitasking abilities, customer service orientation.
