Position: Medical Receptionist
About: The organization is seeking a Medical Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for external customers in the medical office. The Medical Receptionist will greet, instruct, and assist customers in obtaining services within the office, as well as communicate patient information to billing staff and ensure efficient patient flow. The role involves liaising between external customers and medical staff to facilitate a seamless experience for patients at the office.
Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required; course work in insurance/billing, medical practice education, or seminars preferred; 1-2 years of experience in a medical/physician office or customer service environment preferred; understanding of insurance verification; excellent communication skills; proficient in patient care procedures and organizational policies; service-oriented and courteous; skilled in using desktop computer systems and software; ability to compute mathematical calculations and understand medical terminology; collaborative team player with good organizational and time management skills; sound judgement and problem-solving abilities; ability to maintain confidentiality; valid driver’s license to travel between office sites; completion of competency-based program within introductory period
