Position: Master Baker (Artisan Breads and Pastry)
About: We are seeking an experienced Master Baker to lead our bakery’s artisanal bread and pastry operations. The ideal candidate is a certified baking professional (German baking certification or equivalent preferred) with 5–10 years of hands-on experience, particularly in sourdough bread making. This role will oversee daily production, ensure product quality, and manage a team of bakers, while also contributing to recipe innovation and staff development. The Master Baker will uphold high standards for craftsmanship and consistency and drive continuous improvement in our bakery kitchen.
Requirements: Formal baking/pastry certification is required; a German Master Baker certification (Meisterbrief) or Certified Master Baker (CMB) designation is highly preferred, reflecting top-level training. 5–10 years of professional baking experience, with a focus on artisan bread and sourdough production. Mastery of traditional baking techniques, modern equipment, quality and detail orientation, management and leadership skills, clear communication abilities, and physical stamina are essential. Fluent in English for workplace communication; additional language proficiency is a bonus but not required. Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
