Position: MANAGER, VETERANS SERVICE – VETERANS ASSISTANCE COMMISSION OF COOK COUNTY
About: Cook County Offices under the President is seeking a dedicated individual to lead a team in providing comprehensive support to veterans and their dependents, ensuring they understand and obtain their full range of federal, state, and local benefits. The role involves supervising Veterans Service Officers, developing department strategies, advocating for veterans’ rights, and building strong relationships with government agencies to enhance services for veterans and their families.
Requirements: Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate; Nine (9) years of experience in human services, counseling, or social work; Three (3) years of prior supervisory experience; An equivalent combination of education and/or experience; Current accreditation as a Veteran Service Officer is required
