Position: Manager, Region System Operations – Portland, Oregon – #112563

Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field; a minimum of 7 years of experience in the utility power delivery business, electrical journeyman craft experience, or a related field performing the duties of this position; a minimum of three years experience in a supervisory role; thorough knowledge of electrical system operations, EMS systems (SCADA), outage management programs (OMS), labor agreements, accident prevention manuals, personnel procedures, budgeting, and company policies and procedures; knowledge of substation apparatus equipment, relay protection equipment, and communications equipment; communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate expectations, ability to manage the labor agreement, coach employees, provide feedback, work collaboratively with other departments, and effectively interface with company leaders; leadership and teamwork skills to develop and promote cooperative working relationships within and among departments; experience managing represented employees; knowledge of established operational practices and procedures for utility transmission and distribution systems with emphasis on system event response and outage management; demonstrated proficiency with computer applications to include word processing, spreadsheets, and mainframe applications; 24/7 availability to support system operational requirements; may be required to be on-call on a rotational basis
