Position: Manager, Conferences and Events

About: Vanderbilt University is seeking a Conferences and Events Manager to provide logistical and event management support for conference groups, events, housing individuals, and summer camps on campus. The position involves establishing positive relationships with campus and community partners, ensuring guest expectations are met, and sharing in summer duty rotation responsibilities. The role also includes managing academic conferences, event budgets, on-campus housing, and dining services.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree is necessary; a master’s degree and collegiate conference planning are preferred; 3-5 years’ experience in event management or related area is necessary; strong interpersonal communication, organization, and creative thinking skills are essential; ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers required.
