Position: Manager, Business Development – Meetings & Events Solutions

The Lead, Business Development for American Express Global Business Travel Meetings & Events is responsible for the successful sales of meetings & events solutions for prospective clients, leveraging collaborative and relationship-building skills. This role involves advising on and managing all aspects of the sales process to ensure strategic event solutions.
Requirements: 5-7 years of business development experience in the hospitality, travel, and/or meetings & events industry; consultative communication skills; high team orientation and collaboration skills; strong knowledge and network within the Meetings & Events industry; ability to grow internal and external relationships; strong financial foresight; ability to promote change and efficiencies within an organization; demonstrated strategic thinking and analytical skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; outstanding organizational and time management abilities; ability to lead and motivate others; experience in balancing multiple projects/demands; outstanding project management skills; outstanding presentation and negotiation skills; demonstrated client relationship skills; ability to travel; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; CMP and/or SMMC designation a plus
