Position: Manager, Business Development – Meetings & Events Solutions

The Lead, Business Development for Amex GBT Meetings & Events is responsible for the successful sales of meetings and events solutions for prospective clients, utilizing collaboration and relationship-building skills across multiple internal resources to drive growth and sales opportunities.
Requirements: 5-7 years of business development experience in the hospitality, travel, or meetings and events industry; consultative communication skills; high team orientation and collaboration skills; strong knowledge and network within the Meetings and Events industry; ability to develop internal and external relationships to enhance solutions value and profitability; strong financial foresight; demonstrated ability to promote change and efficiencies within an organization; ability to think strategically and conceptually; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; outstanding organizational and time management abilities; ability to lead, influence, and motivate others; prior experience in balancing multiple projects; exceptional project management and presentation skills; demonstrated client relationship skills; ability to travel by airplane, boat, rail, or car; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; CMP and/or SMMC designation a plus.
