Position: Logistics Operations Manager, Global Server Operations
About: Server Operations enables Alphabet to innovate at extraordinary speed and scale within our Data Center and third-party locations. As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will lead and manage all logistics operations required within the Google data center campuses and mini-clusters in North and South America. Standard services include receiving, shipping, quality control, rack movements, rack placement, tray assembly, cabling, spare parts management, decommissions, returns, and RMA’s (Return Merchandise Authorizations). Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience; 5 years of experience managing third-party logistics providers/vendors; 5 years of experience in logistics and operations management. Preferred qualifications: Experience managing operations in multiple locations simultaneously; Ability to be successful in operations management, problem-solving, third-party logistics vendor relationships, budget creation, and cost management.
