Position: Local Events Coordinator
About: Best Friends Animal Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating and organizing events that engage and connect the local community to their lifesaving and advocacy programs, is seeking a dedicated Local Events Coordinator to join their team. This position will play a crucial role in driving brand awareness and engagement to help achieve Best Friends’ mission of making the country no-kill by 2025.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; 1-2 years’ experience in event planning; 1-2 years’ experience leading volunteers and overseeing event planning preferred; strong communication skills; bilingual or multi-lingual skills preferred; customer-centric approach; ability to work with animals; strong interpersonal skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office; resourceful and able to work in a fast-paced environment; valid driver’s license; flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
