Position: LINE COOKS
About: Line Cooks are responsible for a large part of the preparation and production of food and dishes served to order. They work in the back of the house preparing both large and small quantities of food to fulfill orders, multi-tasking various back-of-the-house duties. They help prepare Catering orders and attend events to help serve the food. Line Cooks hold detailed knowledge of portions, ingredients, and/or potential food allergens regarding the menu. On-the-job training is usually necessary. Line Cooks work closely with other kitchen staff, wait staff, and the bar, to ensure the restaurant is operated efficiently. Line Cooks’ duties may require being on their feet for much of their shifts, working in shifts and/or during weekends and holidays. A food handler card/permit is always required.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent; On-the-job training required; Detailed knowledge of portions, ingredients, and potential food allergens; Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment; Strong communication and teamwork skills; Availability to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays; Food handler card/permit required
