About: The Inn at Virginia Mason, connected to Virginia Mason Seattle Hospital in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood, is a convenient accommodation for patients and families as well as an affordable urban hotel for business or leisure travelers. With 70 guestrooms, the Inn is situated within walking distance to various restaurants, shopping, and the Washington State Convention Center.
Requirements: 3+ years industry experience; Able to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures; Ability to cook and direct a banquet up to 100 with the help of a small team; Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s); Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Working knowledge of all mother and minor sauces; Working knowledge of proper butchering techniques; Knowledge of specialized equipment including slicer, Robo-coup, Hobart, convection ovens; Must possess knife skills, adjust preparations for flavor, and accommodate customers’ needs in a timely manner
