Position: Line Cook job

Requirements: Prepares all dishes on menu with an emphasis on taste and food quality; Prepares items needed for front line; Ability to work all stations, front line, and prep areas; Opens line and preps for the day for opening shift; Closes line, puts away all items used, and cleans line for closing shift; Ensures food quality and proper presentation of plates in a timely manner to guests; Keeps food areas organized and ready for daily business and rush times; Keeps guest and employee areas clean, safe, and stocked for daily business; Ensures procedures in food areas are sanitized according to Department of Health standards; Maintains the front-line equipment and follows schedule to keep line, equipment, and station clean; Keeps work area clean by sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down equipment; Keeps all reach-ins, coolers, walls, floors, shelves, drains, and mats clean; Follows all sanitation guidelines as prescribed by the health department; Cooperates on all matters relating to safety and health in the work area; Understands and complies with all general and specific safe job procedures that apply to this job including using knives safely, wearing slip-resistant shoes, utilizing proper lifting techniques; Maintains the safe and proper use of all equipment; Completes side work and other tasks as assigned.
