Position: Line Cook job
About: The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) is seeking a Line Cook to join their team at Amuse Restaurant, a contemporary fine dining establishment overlooking the Robins Sculpture Garden, and Floris, a unique tea-based culinary experience at the Pauley Center Parlor. Requirements: Food service experience in BOH/kitchen; ability to read and comprehend instructions and recipes; strong communication skills; knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen procedures; ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment; flexibility with work schedule; ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 10 hours; motivated team player; additional considerations include prior experience in fine dining, culinary degree, and ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
