About: At the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Amuse Restaurant and Floris create unique dining experiences with innovative menus and fresh, local ingredients. The museum aims to provide exceptional service and a memorable dining experience for its visitors and guests. The Line Cook position involves assisting in kitchen operations at Amuse and Floris, working under the guidance of the Amuse Executive Chef.
Requirements: Food service experience in BOH/kitchen; ability to read and comprehend instructions and recipes; strong communication skills; knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen operations; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays; ability to work well in a diverse team; physical ability to handle kitchen tasks and stand for extended periods; motivated and a team player.
