Position: Line Cook | Inn at Virginia Mason / The Rhododendron Café

About: The Inn at Virginia Mason, located in Seattle’s First Hill neighborhood and connected to Virginia Mason Seattle Hospital, is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join The Rhododendron Café team. This role entails creating new menu items, overseeing daily preparations, guiding line cooks, managing kitchen inventories, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and accommodating customer needs promptly. The Cook I will handle opening and closing kitchen procedures efficiently.

Requirements: 5+ years of industry experience; ability to cook proteins to pre-determined temperatures; experience in directing banquets for up to 100 guests with a small team; State Food Handler’s License(s) required; proficiency in reading and presenting information; knowledge of mother and minor sauces, butchering techniques, and specialized kitchen equipment such as slicers and ovens; knife skills and the ability to adjust preparations for taste preferences and dietary needs.
