Position: Line Cook – Buffet
About: The Line Cook position at Island View Casino Resort is responsible for food production at one or more cold or hot line stations, ensuring that all foods are produced according to recipe and plate presentation specifications. The role involves providing high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests while participating as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, excellent service, and product delivery.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED equivalent and three to five years of previous line cook experience required; previous cook or prep cook experience; ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including the broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef knives; demonstrated ability to operate most commercial kitchen equipment; effective communication skills with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner focusing on generating a positive and cooperative work environment.
