About: The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, is seeking a Lead Cook for the ALM Montgomery Corps in Montgomery, Alabama. The Lead Cook will be responsible for planning, preparing, cooking, and serving nutritional meals and snacks, ensuring safe and presentable service, maintaining kitchen facilities, supervising kitchen staff, and managing inventory.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; three years experience cooking for large groups with some experience supervising kitchen staff; knowledge of proper cooking methods, meal planning techniques, food storage, and cleaning; ability to train and monitor kitchen staff, cook efficiently, maintain inventory, and order supplies economically; valid State Driver’s License
