Position: Lead Cook, Late Shift, IU Dining and Hospitality

The residential dining staff focuses on enhancing the customer experience through innovative recipes, partnerships with local producers, and a culture of nourishing the IU community.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cooking experience and demonstrated leadership skills; OR general knowledge at the high school level with 2 years of experience at the intermediate cook level and demonstrates leadership skills. Food Safety (ServSafe) certification within 180 days from date of hire. Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner; proficient communication skills; maintains professionalism; demonstrates time management and priority setting skills; commitment to quality; flexibility in a fast-paced environment; seeks knowledge in specialty area; thorough and dependable; accurate under pressure; excellent organizational skills; able to represent the company externally; drives projects to successful completion; strong verbal communication and listening skills; builds customer relationships; knowledge of food preparation methods and kitchen sanitation; able to follow instructions and recipes; operates institutional kitchen equipment; coordinates preparation and timing of menu items; works in a team environment; works with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
