Position: Lead Cafeteria Cashier – University Health Truman Medical Center (Full Time, Varied Hours)
About: University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a Lead Cafeteria Cashier to join their Food Service team. University Health is known as ‘Kansas City’s Essential Hospital’ and serves as the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City. As an academic medical center, they are the primary teaching institution for the UMKC Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, and Pharmacy, delivering high-quality medical care with compassion and dedication to service. The facility consists of multiple campuses including UH Truman Medical Center in downtown Kansas City, UH Lakewood Medical Center, and UH Behavioral Health.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience as a food service cashier; Possess and maintain a current City of Kansas City, MO, City of Independence, Jackson County, or Clay County Food Handler’s Permit as appropriate for location of work; Must be able to operate a cash register, make change correctly, and use a calculator; Basic math skill required to prepare deposits; Good communication and interpersonal skills are required to interact with Food Service customers; Experience in Healthcare environment; Experience training employees
