Position: Lactation Consultant RN PRN
About: The Woman’s Hospital of Texas, a healthcare facility dedicated to women’s and newborns’ health, is seeking a passionate Lactation Consultant RN for a PRN position, emphasizing patient-centered care and efficiency.
Requirements: Associates or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing; Current RN license; American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification; Current Certification as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Lactation Counselor, or Certified Lactation Educator; Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in lactation support, education, and consultation with breastfeeding dyads; 2 years Prenatal Education Experience preferred; NRP certified within 90 days of hire; STABLE certification required as a onetime certification. A new hire who has not obtained it before will have 6 months to complete.
