Position: Internal Event Coordinator
About: Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium in Omaha, NE is seeking an Internal Event Coordinator to create delightful event, meeting and special experiences for internal clients and community peers. This role serves as the point of contact for internal department event and meeting needs including Administration, Education, and Guest Services. The position directly reports to the Manager of Events.
Requirements: College degree preferred; minimum 2 years in an event coordination role; experience in Hospitality and/or Food and Beverage service experience is helpful; ability to work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels; strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities; proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills; good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions; excellent communication, negotiation, and multitasking skills; ability to maintain a customer-service oriented attitude; must be available to work occasional weekends, weeknights, and odd hours as needed; must hold a valid driver’s license; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
