Position: INTERMEDIATE TYPIST-CLERK / EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT HOMELESSNESS

About: The County of Los Angeles is seeking qualified candidates to fill emergency Intermediate Typist Clerk vacancies related to the homelessness crisis. Under the emergency order, applicants who meet the requirements may be hired for an initial period of up to 90 days, with an opportunity for permanent County employment.

Requirements: Minimum requirements: Six months of full-time office clerical experience involving typewriting in the County service or in districts under the jurisdiction of the County, or one year’s full-time office clerical experience involving typewriting outside the County service, or a certificate or Associate of Arts degree in clerical procedures or office administration from an accredited college; Typewriting skill: Ability to type at the rate of 40 net words per minute. Applicants must meet the Minimum Requirements at the time of filing to qualify. Physical Class II dash Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
