Position: Instrumentation Coordinator

About: An Instrumentation Coordinator at a healthcare facility is responsible for preparing, sterilizing, installing, assembling, and cleaning all clinic or healthcare equipment required for surgeries, examinations, and medical procedures. They ensure that equipment, instruments, and supplies are safely reusable to prevent infections. This role involves ensuring sterilized and properly functioning medical supplies and instrumentation are packaged and delivered for aseptic use. The Coordinator also acts as a liaison between Operating Rooms and Central Sterile Supply (CSS) locations to manage and distribute sterilized instrumentation Enterprise-wide, while also standardizing instrument trays. This position operates 24/7 across multiple reprocessing sites within the Health System, including Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, University Hospital East, and all Ambulatory sites.

Requirements: High school graduate or possess the G.E.D.; at least one year of experience as an instrument processor or Surgical Technologist; Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification issued through International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification issued through The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required upon hire or within 6 months of hire; Regular 40 Varying Shifts
