Position: IB Event Marketing Specialist

Requirements: Ideally 10-15 years of conference & event planning experience within Financial Services, preferably at a bulge bracket investment bank(s); undergraduate degree(s), advanced study or certification(s) in event management a plus; must be a strategic thinker and able to execute independently on projects, as well as effectively work within a strong team environment; excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail; able to effectively juggle multiple projects in various stages of development; enjoy working closely with a diverse range of clients, establishing their needs and tailoring a program of events to meet exact requirements; able to work across organizational borders, liaising with colleagues in other areas with potentially different objectives or approaches; appreciative of and adept at working easily with regional variance and cultural differences; exceptional communication skills for leading meetings and calls, daily interactions, and written communications; comfortable operating with senior individuals; patient and able to calmly assess situations, act in the best interests of the team/internal client/firm, manage frustration levels well; excellent logic and problem-solving abilities in terms of budgets and reporting; adept at negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best price; basic to advanced business acumen within the financial services and/or investment banking space; comfortable with creative design processes, managing the creation of collateral from concept through to production.
