Position: Houseparents – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private institution, is seeking married couples to serve as Houseparents. This unique role involves providing guidance and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in a family-like environment on the school’s campus. Houseparents are responsible for various duties including transportation, medication administration, and budgeting, creating a nurturing and structured atmosphere for approximately 8-12 students in each home.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; couples must be legally married for at least two years; both spouses should be age 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license; no more than three dependent children in the student home; adherence to campus rules including smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol-free policies; comfortable with Judeo-Christian services and leading daily devotions; both spouses must complete individual employment applications; demonstrate integrity and be role models for students.
