Position: Houseparents – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School provides a family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering exceptional career-focused education from pre-K through 12th grade with housing, meals, and comprehensive support. The school is fully endowed, founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, ensuring both students and staff thrive. The institution is currently seeking married couples to serve as flex houseparents, guiding and nurturing students in on-campus homes.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license; comfortable leading student activities and attending chapel services; smoke-free and weapon-free campus adherence; no alcohol on duty; limitations on pets; both spouses must submit individual employment applications
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple including housing and meals), comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement), relocation assistance, paid training, nine days on/three days off schedule, three-week paid summer vacation
