Position: Houseparents – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, located in Hershey, PA, is a renowned private educational institution providing career-focused education and comprehensive support to students in pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. The school offers free housing, meals, and all necessary resources to ensure student and staff well-being, thanks to the philanthropy of Milton and Catherine Hershey who founded it in 1909. Currently, MHS is seeking married couples to join as flex houseparents, contributing to the nurturing and guidance of students in an on-campus residential setting.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings; couples must have been legally married for at least two years; both spouses aged 27 or older; no more than three dependent children in the student home; abide by campus regulations including no smoking, weapons, or alcohol on duty; limitations on pets with only fish and one approved breed of dog allowed; valid driver’s license and ability to drive student home vans; comfort in leading students in daily devotions and attending Sunday chapel services; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; demonstration of high integrity as role models for students; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses.
