Position: Houseparents – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking married couples to serve as Flex Houseparents. In this unique role, couples provide a nurturing family-like environment for approximately 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering guidance, support, and fulfilling various responsibilities within on-campus student homes.
Requirements: Experience working or volunteering with youth in under-served settings is required; applicants must be legally married for at least two years and both spouses should be aged 27 or older; possess a high school diploma or GED; have a valid driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; exhibit a high degree of integrity as role models for students.
Benefits: Salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple, including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more); comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings; relocation assistance and paid training provided; nine days on followed by three days off schedule with personal time, three-week paid summer vacation.
