Position: Houseparents, Full-Time – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private school founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking Full-Time Houseparents. Houseparents provide a nurturing environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them a career-focused education while residing on campus. Married couples act as role models, fostering a family-like structure for a small group of students and handling various responsibilities to promote a positive community atmosphere.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings; both spouses must be age 27 or older; must be legally married for at least two years; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license; willingness to become certified to drive student home vans; comfortable leading students in daily devotions; uphold a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy; adhere to restrictions on pets; demonstrate high integrity as role models for students; complete individual employment applications for both spouses
