Position: Houseparents, Full-Time – Relocation to Hershey, PA Required
About: Milton Hershey School, a renowned private educational institution founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, is seeking dedicated Houseparents to provide a nurturing family-like environment for groups of 8-12 students from under-served backgrounds. Houseparents play a crucial role in guiding students, administering medication, and maintaining a structured household at the school, where all expenses for students and staff are fully covered.
Requirements: High school diploma or GED required; at least 2 years of legal marriage for couples; experience working or volunteering with youth, especially from under-served backgrounds; both spouses aged 27 or older; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; valid driver’s license with the ability to drive student home vans; commitment to leading students in daily devotions and chapel services; no more than 3 dependent children in residence; adherence to a smoke-free, weapon-free, and alcohol-free campus; compliance with limitations on pets; completion of individual employment applications by both spouses; demonstration of integrity and role-model behavior for students
