Position: Housekeeping Aide – Full-Time
About: Under the direction of the director of housekeeping, the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide will provide housekeeping and laundry activities throughout a long-term nursing facility in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards. Responsibilities include knowledge of equipment and supplies, sorting and folding laundry, ensuring lint filters are changed daily, separating colored and white laundry, loading laundry into washing machines and dryers, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, accepting supervision and direction, and working well as a team player.
Requirements: Two (2) years of institutional housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare environment; ability to demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward the elderly; evaluate and interpret information for decision-making; ability to read and write English, follow oral and written directions; good communication skills and the ability to work as a team player
