About: Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center, located at 400 Renaissance Dr W, Detroit, Michigan, United States, 48243, is seeking a Make Ready Team member to perform planned preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces when necessary. The role involves a variety of tasks such as flipping mattresses, vacuuming behind and under furniture, deep cleaning carpets, painting touch-ups, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, inspecting and replacing lighting fixtures, and maintaining and cleaning all guest rooms and public spaces following preventive maintenance procedures and hotel room standards. The position also includes performing preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, minor repairs like adjusting toilet seats and changing light bulbs, immediately reporting maintenance issues or safety risks to managers or supervisors, complying with safety policies and procedures, maintaining cleanliness and professionalism in personal appearance, and providing excellent guest service.
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent from a General Educational Development (GED) program; less than 1 year of related work experience; no supervisory experience required; no license or certification required
