Position: Housekeeper job
About: Zoo Knoxville is seeking a Housekeeper to join the Grounds Department team. This individual will work under the supervision of the Lead Housekeeper and Grounds Curator to maintain the grounds and facilities, manage refuse, and ensure the overall appearance of the zoo is exemplary. They will be responsible for various housekeeping and grounds maintenance tasks to uphold the cleanliness and functionality of the park.
Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age; possess a valid state-issued driver’s license; have a minor understanding of facilities and grounds maintenance, safety practices, and operation of maintenance tools and equipment; exhibit professionalism, organizational skills, and teamwork capabilities; demonstrate good communication skills in English; have the ability to react effectively in high-stress situations and follow instructions; minimum of one year experience in grounds maintenance with a high school diploma or equivalent; emphasis on AZA accredited zoological environment experience preferred
