Position: Host or Hostess
About: A host(ess) is an individual who greets customers as they arrive and often is the last to say goodbye to them as they leave. The host(ess) job description includes a wide variety of tasks, such as scheduling dining reservations, directing dining room personnel, accommodating special needs or requests, greeting and seating guests, explaining menu specials, introducing customers to servers, and inspecting dining facilities.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a customer service or restaurant setting preferred; strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail and problem-solving skills
